Terms of Service

BACK-BONE, operated by BECON Industries LLC. Effective 1 August 2026.

These terms cover your use of BACK-BONE. By using it you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.

1. What the service is

BACK-BONE is software for running a service business — jobs, scheduling, customer records, and automated messages the account owner configures. We provide it as a hosted service. We are not an accountant, a bookkeeper, or a financial adviser, and BACK-BONE is not a system of record for tax or accounting purposes.

2. Your account

• You are responsible for keeping sign-in credentials secure and for what people in your account do.
• You must give accurate account information and keep it current.
• An account administrator controls who may join and what they may see.

3. Your data stays yours

You keep all rights to the information you put into BACK-BONE. You grant us only the permission needed to host it, display it back to you, back it up, and operate the features you have turned on. Our handling of it is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Messages the service sends

BACK-BONE can send email and text messages on your behalf, to recipients and on triggers you configure. You are the sender. You are responsible for having the right to contact those people, for honouring opt-outs, and for complying with the laws that apply to you. We provide quiet-hours controls and ask that you use them.

5. Connected services

You may connect outside services such as QuickBooks Online. When you do:

• You authorise us to access that service on your behalf, within the permissions you granted.
• That service's own terms continue to govern your relationship with it.
• We are not responsible for a third party's availability, accuracy, or changes to its interface.
• You may disconnect at any time — see Disconnecting QuickBooks.

Your accounting system remains the authority on your finances. BACK-BONE records what it was told and what it did; it does not replace your books, and you should not rely on it for tax or statutory reporting.

6. Acceptable use

Do not use BACK-BONE to break the law, to send unsolicited bulk messages, to store data you have no right to hold, to attempt to reach another customer's data, or to interfere with the service's operation.

7. Availability

We work to keep the service running and will give notice of planned maintenance where we reasonably can. We do not currently offer a contractual uptime guarantee.

8. Fees

Where a paid plan applies, its price and billing period are as agreed with you in writing. We will give at least 30 days' notice before changing a price.

9. Ending the agreement

You may stop using BACK-BONE at any time and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or that we are required to close by law, and we will tell you why. On closure you may request an export of your data; after 90 days it is deleted.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above and tell account administrators about anything material. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, and the courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction.
